If you don’t have:

1 tsp. baking powder

1 Tb. balsamic vinegar

1 cup buttermilk

1 ounce semisweet chocolate

1 ounce unsweetened chocolate

 

You can use:

1/2 tsp. cream of tartar & 1/4 tsp. baking soda

1 Tb. cider or red wine vinegar & 1/2 tsp. sugar

1 Tb. vinegar plus enough milk to make 1 cup

3 Tb. semisweet chocolate pieces

3 Tb. unsweetened cocoa powder & 1 Tb. vegetable oil
